DemoMask Privacy

DemoMask does not collect, store, or transmit any personal identification information (PII) or sensitive data. The extension is designed with a "Privacy First" architecture, ensuring that your data never leaves your local environment.
2. How it Works
All data processing—including the detection and redaction of emails, credit cards, IBANs, and API keys—happens strictly locally within your browser instance. No data is ever sent to external servers, cloud databases, or third-party analytics services.
3. Permissions
The extension requires specific permissions to function effectively:
- All URLs: This is required solely to perform real-time DOM manipulation. The extension must scan the page structure to identify and blur sensitive elements before they are displayed.
- Storage: Used strictly to save your local settings (e.g., which categories to hide) within your browser.
These permissions are never used for tracking, profiling, or analyzing your browsing history.
